EV charger finder

Enter a postcode or town to see public electric car chargers nearby, with their power in kW, connector types and distance. Filter to rapid chargers, then add your car's battery and charge rate to see roughly how long a stop would take.

This is a finder, not a route planner. Charger data is community-maintained, so always check status and price in the operator's app.

Locations are community-maintained and can be out of date. Status is often unverified. Always check the operator's app before you set off.

Charging speed is limited by both the charger and your car. A 150 kW charger can't charge a car that accepts 50 kW any faster than 50 kW.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the charger data come from?

Open Charge Map, a community-maintained open database of charging locations. Each result shows its own data provider and licence.

Why does a charger show status unknown?

Many operators don't publish live status to Open Charge Map, so the status can be unverified. Check the operator's app or your car's navigation before you set off.

Does it show prices?

Only if the data includes a note about cost. Prices change often, so check the charger or the operator's app.

Does it work in Northern Ireland?

Not yet. The finder covers England, Scotland and Wales.
